Create a Neutral Christmas Table in 5 easy steps to Put You in the Festive Mood
There is so much to love about Christmas. The excitement, the lights, the decorations and the joy. I love to put on Christmas music and decorate my house.
I love to create a festive feeling and the Christmas table is a big part of it, so I wanted to share one of my Christmas tables for inspiration.
I have three small kids ( 3 under 5), so I love creating fun and interesting tables. Don’t get me wrong, I love florals and including greenery at Christmas, but I always look for fun and interesting decorations to make the table a little more fun for little eyes.
If you’re looking to create a neutral table this Christmas, then this may be the inspiration you’re looking for.
Before you start creating your festive table, you will need to do some planning. Think about the look you want to create and consider how you want to decorate your table.
A little planning can go a long way so take some time to gather the items you want on your table and play around with different combinations.
Here are five tips to create this look;
Tip One:
Start with a neutral tablecloth.
Tip Two:
Layer. Add a table runner, it doesn’t need to look perfect. I scrunched mine up to create movement and added a neutral garland for interest and texture.
Tip Three:
Use Levels. I usually start with the centrepiece and work my way out. With this table setting, I used a cake stand and added some fun Christmas decorations
Tip Four:
Add unique details. This could be in the place cards, the centrepiece or both. The Butterflies I used are decorations from my tree, so think outside of the box.
Tip Five:
Have fun! Creating a festive feeling in your home and for those you love should be fun and should add to the magic of the season.
