Most of us have an area in our homes that we just don’t know what to do with. It’s a random corner or entry that is too big to be empty but will often leave us scratching our heads trying to figure out how to use it.
Often we place a piece of furniture there or a pot plant – ‘stuff’ with no real purpose
1. Create Synergy
Although you want to create synergy with the room you don’t have to try to create an extension of the main room.

2. Give it a Purpose
Give the nook a purpose. This could be as a reading area, coffee spot, an art station or an office just to name a few suggestions.

3. Don’t let your nook be a shrinking violet
Allow your decor to be bold and for your nook to take on a life of it’s own. Don’t feel like you need to make this space disappear, allow it to be a focal point in the room. It’s no longer a forgotten corner but instead has a clear purpose and function.
